I just donated $ to my Mastodon instance host for this month's server expenses.
I don't have a problem with paying for a reasonably reliable service which provides a reasonably safe social media environment.
Twitter could try that, too, but who'd believe at this point Musk would provide reasonably reliable and safe hosting for social media?
