these are not concerns for the way that most companies do design systems & component libraries. Components and design systems are not done to ensure better quality, they exist to sell the promise of scalability.

The premise is that you can define once and delivery everywhere from a single point of origin and a streamlined pipeline. That is what constitutes a properly working design system. Nowhere is quality or accessibility a marker of success or failure in this promise.
