Went to a #BMW dealer today for an inspection sticker...they're just back online after CDK Global restored service after that massive ransomware attack.
My car's history -- along with my PII -- had been restored and was used for the visit.
I wonder: what's to prevent the criminals from taking the ransom AND selling the exfiltrated data on the dark web?
My guess: nothing. nada.
I hope a massive class-action suit sues the bejesus out of CDK for its (obvious) #cybersecurity #infosec failures.
