Remember the original Agile Manifesto? It was written by engineers who wanted to get things done.
Agile (TM) today is a cottage industry of consultants, certifications, and 'thought leaders'. I'd even assert that the commonly-associated practices run counter to the original intent. It is possible to fall into an anti-pattern of taking this too seriously! A corollary of Goodhart's law
