"content": "It was an excellent day to clean up and expand our garden for next season.\nWe felt everything was pretty well done for the season except for the kale, and we’re getting sick of kale Caesar salads.\n\nIt wasn’t bad for our first go at gardening. This year we planted onions which didn’t do well at all…didn’t even get one. Peppers did ok, kale was rockin all season, grape tomatoes were incredible…man the flavour on those 👌🏻,\nBeef tomatoes caught blight disease so they were a no go, cucumbers were a bit of a late start but good while it lasted, red potatoes \u0026 carrots were awesome and lettuce was going great early on in the season until we got a wicked rain/wind storm that just flattened it all. \n\nCan’t complain though, we did pretty good. We now caught a “bug” and are preparing/expanding beyond the 3 raised beds we had this season by just removing the 3 beds and utilizing the entire 14’x18’ area. Super excited for next season🤙🏻\n\nDefinitely thinking about chickens, but it’s so easy to skip over to the local farm market and get fresh eggs there.
