while i do agree that a large part of *innovation* is simply bait for worthless spending.. advances in medical tech are really spectacular. for eg it has meant i no longer need regular invasive needle biopsies and can have a mr elastography scan instead thus allowing my hepatologist to track wo risk or discomfort how my liver is coping with the long term chemo.
