When people think about decentralization and open protocols and sharing info on the internet, I think a lot of people think it will be like torrents, limewire, kaazaa and those apps we used early days of the internet.
I see why they might think this, while torrent did survive, it’s not like before, but the problem was mostly legal. People were mostly distributing copy righted content. And regardless of how you think about it, at least ethically if feels wrong.
The difference in what #nostr is doing, is that you are putting out our own content mostly. Not copy righted. Digitally signed by us. It’s ethically and legally correct.
The experience is not even comparable.
