As the conflict between Austria-Hungary and Serbia intensified, other countries, such as Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, and Great Britain, were drawn into the battle, and the world began to spiral out of control. Soon, almost every nation was drawn into what would be called World War I. Where the total number of civilian casualties would be upwards of 40 million people.”
