The Chinese Communist Party and North Korea have already in certain ways maximized the use of technology along socialist values. Just take a look.

Having lived in China myself, and having a relative who has gone into North Korea multiple times, I can tell you they use technology to centralize power, not for the benefit of their populations but for the government's empowerment.

One of the problems of socialist philosophy is it's implicit message that certain portions of the population can't make their own choices, which is the same thing as asserting other people are capable of making choices for many other people, which is a deeply codependent believe.

Socialism is extremely interpersonally toxic, and violative of personal boundaries, which means people who genuinely follow through on their socialist beliefs are destined to have highly toxic relationships, because personal free will empowerment, which is necessary for healthy and functional relationships, cannot be genuinely cultivated under the values of socialism without contradicting it.
