I try not to drive myself to Do Things on the weekends - when home is work it’s especially important to Not Work every day. But I allow myself to do little, fun things, and today’s fun chore was putting pavers alongside the concrete walkway. Then it looked too nice on that side of things, so I kept puttering around and tidied the rock garden on the other side. I did not tidy the porch in the slightest so no pics of it!
The problem was that the chickens kept scratching the dirt out of the rose beds and onto the walkway. So I scratched out a trench, wheelbarrowed over the keystone pavers from an existing wall across the driveway, and fixed it.
Since I had the digger claw tool in my hand, I dug out all the rest of the scraggly ass old sedums along the edges of the rock garden.
