The interesting part here is that progressives are not required to adopt an appearance, but they still seem to do it out of instinct, and maybe there's some amount of natural peer pressure that happens too. When everybody has blue hair around you, you're gonna feel awkward if you don't.
But what we do see, is a requirement to change how they introduce themselves. You're expected to state your race, your sexuality, your gender, your mental disorders, and of course your "personal pronouns". While you're not under an obligation to change your declared sexuality, gender or pronouns, again it is undeniable that some peer pressure is likely to exist.
