I can't think of any moment in American history when gun owners actually did something to stop their government. All the gun copers can do is imagine that things would be that much more worse off if they didn't have their guns. Like talismans warding off invisible curses. You bring up the one example of Australia when pretty much everywhere else on earth has the same standards on gun control and aren't worse off for it and enjoy standards of living much better than America.
