Up late last night. Watched a live from 9-10pm then for some reason was in the mood for some Pink Floyd. So I started with The Dark Side of the Moon... This conjured up some distant memories...
Memory #1 I got a boom box cassette player back in 1981 or 82 🤔 it wasn't a bit one, but it was cool because you could record voice on a cassette or use it like an amplifier... Anyhow my dad gave me a double of dubbed cassettes one was Waylon Jennings greatest hits, and the other was the Dark Side of the Moon... I would listen to them before bed and falling asleep... I remember just starting to fall asleep and those clocks would go off on the song Time... Crazy right?
The other memory was a couple years later maybe 85 or so and I had this girlfriend that I met at church camp. Anyway we would go to these weekend retreats at this seminary in Ohio that was run by catholic monks... Anyhow I again have a different boom box (I maybe have been 14 or 15 at the time) and we're at this catholic retreat... We meet up out in the expansive gardens and sit out on some bench making out and listening to the Dark Side of the moon. Anyhow it gets hot and heavy and I end up finger banging her.
I don't remember her first name, but her last name was Rambo...
Also that weekend we broke into the kitchen if the seminary and stole a bottle of wine...
I'm pretty sure that weekend will contribute to me going to hell...
That seminary was a cool place. Sadly the tore it down to make a golf course I believe.
