I mean, view it from his perspective. He’s not “wrong”

Terrorists just take lives and destroy tangible infrastructure. More people can be born and infrastructure can be rebuilt.

The people who are able to influence policy, craft/shape/steer narratives are much more impactful on society as a whole than your run of the mill terrorist.

If you had the money, power, influence, and connections that a dude like Gates had, and an agenda for doing whatever it is he’s trying to accomplish, you’d likely feel the same.

Not agreeing with his premise but, if you think about it genuinely it’s not as absurd as the headline makes it out to be.

People in power deal in influence. They’re not losing their monopoly on violence. They’ve secured that. The internet infringes on their monopoly over influence.
