I wrote a thing. It can monitor a relays latency from wherever you are and post it to nostr using nip66 (draft). It can run on a raspberry pi.

Relay operators can now have a decentralized latency stats engine on nostr and soon will also be powering relay discovery. All part of this ancient nip that has been cooking for over a year now.
