Need to think about keeping it clean and dry. Use deep bedding ( straw, old hay,wood chips any dry carbon) and make sure you add often enough so there is no amonia smell. Clean out when needed. Could be once a year or 4 times a year depending on floor size and number of birds. Think about type of floor and the wall up to about 3ft high. If it is wood it will eventually rot out if it is moist enough under your bedding.
