During the first wave of hype around "AI" (air quotes), it would piss me off that it wasn't actual intelligence, but machine learning, but "ML" just isn't as catchy.
In recent days I've given up caring, but then -
Now when you say AI, I think "generative X", i.e. ML autocomplete, image or textwise.
So when I read or watch fictional AI, I keep thinking "how can you have a meaningful conversation with generative ML"?!
Fucking cylindrical thinking on my part!
