Sri Lanka leaves rates unchanged; awaits policy transmission
COLOMBO : Sri Lanka kept its key interest rate unchanged in a surprise move on Thursday as it chose to wait and watch the impact of its large rate cuts over the previous two meetings filter through the crisis-hit economy. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) kept its standing deposit facility rate (SDFR) and standing lending facility rate (SLFR) unchanged at 11 per cent and 12 per cent.
