The 1st Amendment guarantees freedom of expression by ensuring congress cannot pass laws prohibiting freedom of speech and press. Unfortunately, in the US, we no longer have a free press.
We have state sponsored media masquerading as a "free press," while in fact, our press is more corrupt than the press in many communists nations and out right dictatorships.
We know our government is corrupt and we are soon to be dragged into another war. The American People DO NOT WANT THIS WAR. We want peace and prosperity.
If we had a free press, they would be using their outlets to scream from the highest buildings that their listeners, viewers, and readers DO NOT approve of another war. They would work to hold the government accountable, to limit their power.
I don't want to turn NOSTR into the vile space that is now twitter discussing divisive politics, but this issue, in fact, isn't really divisive. Nobody wants World War 3 or a nuclear disaster.
Let us stand up together and loudly proclaim that we do not want war, death, and destruction.
While we continue to build out freedom tools such as bitcoin, tor, and nostr take the following actions, I suppose:
1) Save using the best money currently available to us, bitcoin. This will allow you to easily accomplish, #2.
2) Be mobile - Ensure you have a money you can take with you and cannot be seized. Be ready to leave if disaster strikes. Ensure your passports are up to date.
3) Limit debt.
4) Work on your health and family.
5) Call your congressman and let them know you stand against further war.
