To say only old women, children, and dimwits believe in God is simply disingenuous at best, and pure lies at worse. Surely, such naysayers are unaware that from 1901 to 2000, Christians won a total of 72% of all the Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, 65% in Physics, and 62% in Medicine. I suspect nothing has changed in such statistics in this century.
The Bible has survived the contemptuous scorn of such world-renowned anti-God philosophers as Voltaire, Sartre, and Nietzsche. It has withstood the onslaught of the world’s worst political despots from Nero to Hitler to Stalin to Mao Zedong. It remains an immovable mountain of granite while the bones of atheistic scientific geniuses such as J. Robert Oppenheimer, Carl Sagan, Ivan Pavlov, and Linus Pauling slowly turn to dust.
No, the reason people reject God and the Bible is NOT at all on academic grounds. They always, at the heart, reject Him and it on moral grounds. Always.
