I know I'm going to sound like an old man, but I just don't understand #instagram

• A celebrity I follow shared a video (a “reel”).
• I wanted to see it so I clicked on the notification.
• Instagram showed me part of the video, then it disappeared off to the left.
• Swiping to the right didn't get it back.
• Going to that celebrity’s account didn't show the video.
• Going to the main page and scrolling through a series of circles with people's names in them, and clicking the circle for that celebrity DID show the video.
• It still disappeared after a few seconds.
• But after doing this a couple of times, I spotted a tiny link which said “watch full Reel” and was able to click it.

The interface seems ACTIVELY hostile and terribly confusing.

I had long lost interest in the video by this time, it was a challenge I had to complete just so I wouldn't be defeated.
