Because Simplex only works to send messages to a given key. Your posts have to have a destination. It can't be for anyone to see. It doesn't have the function to send a note to anyone that follows you. Simplex only has Private Inboxes (you are always authenticated by the server for the good and for the bad). It doesn't offer any public inbox, public outbox or private outbox services.
