I am an Indonesian who is currently pursuing a degree in Theology in India, financing my education independently. At 24 years old, I commenced my studies in 2021. Because previously, I used to dedicate my time to studying at a non-formal religious school.
Despite this, I rely on financial assistance from my parents for my day-to-day expenses, amounting to approximately $150 per month.
However, I am fully aware that my parents are not currently employed and are responsible for supporting my three younger siblings who are still in school.
Regrettably, I find myself without the means to contribute, as I was never taught the necessary skills for generating income from a young age. Tragically, my father suffered a stroke in 2021, just a few days before I embarked on my journey to India for studies. I am at a loss and uncertain about confiding in anyone about this matter. Perhaps on this platform, I can find solace in expressing my emotions.
I really want to help generate money for my parents, or at the very least, not inconvenience them, especially since currently only my mother is trying to earn a living for the family.
