I follow over 200 people, and have over 400 followers, yet I only have maybe 20 people reply back to me. Maybe I am muted, maybe I don't align with them, maybe I am stupid, but at the end of the day, I don't need to have that large following, it is nice to have a few people who chat back. But I also went through a period where I was very isolated, so that feels good. People are coming down from a social media high and coming here where it's like hey chat with a couple people who do not see the world exactly like you and not really connect the way you do on social media platforms can feel lonely. This is why I suggested hellthreads for newbies. Every day when a new npub does an introduction, there should be a bot that ask them if they like to add their name to a newbie meeting session. If they say yes, the get invited to a small hellthread and get to know each other. This is a half thought out idea, but I think if we start building new nostr groups like the way the OGs had at the beginning and creating all kinds of clusters, then the newbies who search more can introduce new stuff to the other newbies. It helps them explore with each other. If I new how to make bots I would do something like that.
