The Norwegian supreme court ruled in 2021 that large wind turbines built on Sami grazing land violate their human rights. After 500 days, the State has still not acted on the court`s decision. Sami activists occupied the Ministry of Oil and Energy last Thursday, in order to make the government act on the courts decision. They were taken out of the building last night by the police. They are still blocking the entrance to the ministry this morning.
