I notice that #MagicEarth touts that it uses crowdsourced traffic data. Any idea what the source of this is, and if it's an open database?
I've been wishing for years that there was an open dataset of traffic speeds. The main current advantage #Google #Maps has over apps like #Osmand or #OrganicMaps is it's ability to reroute around heavy traffic and accurately predict travel time. Both rely on traffic data that I haven't seen in the open/free culture scene (yet?).
