I've been discussing Bitcoin with my dad for a couple of years now, but what really helped it click for him was Jason Lowery's "Softwar" thesis.
I know there is a lot of criticism regarding his work, but somehow the described principles of proof of work really helped him understand the concept of Bitcoin.
My dad now says things like 'it's infinity divided by 21 million' and urges me to get ahead of the govs in stacking. Orange pilled?!
