It’s late and I can’t sleep so I’m overwhelmed thinking about people of the past and how people have always been people again, a child touched this ceramic figure and left a fingerprint possibly as far back as 31,000 years ago and I’m thinking about how much time I spend trying to smooth out the finger smudges and places I nick the clay stuff I make with my nails and the frustrations I feel when I see ones I missed after they’re fired
