Pixelmator Pro last year introduced a new feature called “Smart Deband (https://9to5mac.com/2022/12/21/pixelmator-pro-update-color-banding/),” which basically enhances images compressed as JPEG photos by removing artifacts known as color banding. This feature is now coming to Photomator, Pixelmator’s dedicated photo editing app (https://9to5mac.com/2023/05/16/photomator-for-mac-now-available/).
