"Muh legacy" yeah yeah having future people that simply share your last name is cool and all, but I would be over the moon with love and joy to see my child's face for the first time one day, boy or girl. A son is obviously more low maintenance and practical for slave labor er, household chores, but to have a daughter would infuse my life with new purpose and kick my paternal instincts into overdrive.
Just witnessing the first instance of her act as cutesy and happy as the girl in the McD's commercial would be enough to make me want to turn the planet upside down and gut it like a fish if that's what it took to protect her.
