Yesterday I saw 2 men get water baptized.
Three men had to carry one man who was sitting on a plastic monobloc chair. They carried him in since he could not walk by himself. He was in tears as his wife tightly clutched his walking cane.
The pastor went about his spiel and eventually asked, "Do you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?"
The man nodded his head, tears welling up from his eyes.
The people around were singing and rejoicing.
The pastor continued, "Do you promise to turn your back against your previous life and sins?"
The man, who had a stroke, can barely say yes, but nodded.
The pastor then said in the vernacular, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit?"
Water flowed from the man's head as he started smiling.
A chance for a new beginning.
