The things that I am certain of are the following:
Politicians lie. Trump has lied in the past. The media lies. The government has fabricated lies and crises in the past. I have not seen a picture or video of the bullet actually hitting his ear. The pictures of his ear do not show evidence of a gunshot wound. The way people are reacting is strangely hysterical. The alternate view that glass or shrapnel hitting his ear make more sense but is being denied.
On the other hand:
Is it possible that the bullet still hit his ear despite all that? That all the cameras at the rally failed to capture the bullet striking his ear. That the media isn’t lying this time. That it wasn’t staged. That trump has balls of steel and reacted like a badass when faced with death. That the photographer happened to perfectly capture an iconic picture at the perfect moment. That the SS made an honest error. That 5 or more bullets missed from a distance not so far away.
Certainly these coincidences are possible but I’m not convinced this is exactly what happened.
