I’m not sure I completely understand your question.

A private key is just a number.

It can be “loaded into” any number of devices, whether hardware or software.

In general, keys that are generated by software connected to the internet are considered “hot.”

In terms of security, there would be no benefit in “restoring” this key on a price of hardware.

Instead, use a hardware device, such as cold card or jade to generate a new key entirely offline.

Then, never allow that key (or the device that generated it) to touch the internet.

Does that answer the question?
