We have to make a serial loopback RJ45 “cable” because in order to unlock the admin panel of the power distributor we NEED to short-circuit it to prove we are next to the device. ….WHY? WHY NOT HAVE A BUTTON?? Or a key???
Coincidentally the company behind this power distributor also sells the short-circuiting loopback device for $30 which is RICH for a device that is literally a 10mb/s ethernet cable with a built in short-circuit.
