12 hours with the USB-C version.
The battery itself can be charged from either the fold-out male connector or from the female port with the included C-to-C cable. Likewise for delivering a charge to the phone.
The ability to use it with a cord helps alleviate concerns that direct connection could possibly put strain on the phone's charging port. It's not the heaviest thing in the world but smartphone charging ports don't strike me as particularly durable.
USB-C version is about $19.
