I was talking to my brother the other day via text and he's got iPhone and I have an android. Without RCS its a pain in the ass to reply to texts but I think I figured out a workaround.
You put an emote reaction on the text you want to "quote" or refer to, then have the same matching emote in the text you're replying with. Does that make sense?
Ideally, it's not a facial emote or something with meaning already so I use a 🌲 because tree in almost all contexts is tree.
