I think the protocol specifies that all users have recommended relays where you can find their content. These are the relays that use. So if you follow them, your client could automatically add their relays so you are sure to get their content. Not sure if the auto adding of relays is in place yet. I’ve only briefly looked at it so I may be wrong.
