I'm not quite so pumped about it, as far as I see it fate has kept us on the more peaceful, boring, track for a while longer.
I don't have great hopes for trump, I don't think he's willing to do the needful once he gets in, and his reign will be just as damaging for us & ours as it is helpful in the long run....but we will be able to build families and prepare in relative safety for a while longer.

the mandate of heaven isn’t about anyones individual liberal state of mind. people are reading too much of my personal feelings in my OP, I’m commenting on the change in atmosphere not how don makes me feel. on July 4th the spirit of America was dead, other than the fireworks show the town put on nobody was shooting off their own near me when usually dozens of people do. last night half the neighborhood was shooting them off, possibly more than just fireworks. I have not seen a MAGA hat in person since January 6th and today every other white person I’ve seen has one or some other Trump/patriotic paraphernalia on. my mom called to say all her Facebook friends have changed their profile pictures to The Picture. Blacks and browns aren’t walking around like they own the place anymore. Aside from some lolcows on the internet who can’t help but whine and fedpost most libs are doing something they almost never do: cower and be silent. It really is a whole new world out there.
