I have a proposal to fix Nostr DMs;
Don't, its not feasible for 40+ clients to implement state of the art messaging encryption properly so it's best to leave it to specialized messaging apps which may or may not be built on top of Nostr.
Instead there should be a contact info field on profile where people can link to email, Signal, SimpleX, or anything else and clients will use this to open the correct app when you press the DM button.
