A personal note.

This has been a very hard week for my family. My 97 y.o. mother has deteriorated rapidly... and has reached the point where she can no longer live independently. My sisters and I had to deliver that news and help Mom accept the harsh reality that she needs to be in Assisted Living - where there will be help and nurses on demand, 24x7. This will be Mom's final move. She knows it and she hates it. But it has to be now.

When I last saw my mother a few months ago, I lost her in a Ross Dress For Less. Mom said she had a coupon burning a hole in her pocketbook, so I took her shopping. This was a mistake. She is shorter than the clothes racks. And the store is huge. And she doesn't stay in one place. After a frantic 20 minute search, a store clerk found her in a dressing room, trying on clothes.

I'm sorry to say her lifetime of shopping is over. Coupon Master will rest.
