it is a pretty severe mutation, and i doubt it only affects the body and not also things like brain chemistry and mental development.
one of the more interesting aspects about dwarfs is that there mutation is one of the very few that is not sterile.
pretty much all other severe mutations like siamese twins or dolphin children are sterile from birth.
dwarfs on the other hand not only can reproduce, but for some reason dwarfism is not a heritable trait.
meaning 2 dwarfs that reproduce wont have dwarf children.
during the times of the middle ages and the renaissance, dwarfs were seen as the most priced jesters in royal courts.
so several times french, english and italien kings tried to start breeding programs for dwarfs.
non of them succeeded and always produced normal people.
dwarfs are fucking fascinating man.
