Do some homework - Ukraine has been the corruption capital of the WORLD since WW2. The corruption goes back even further.
A good start is Whitney Webbs book, "One Nation Under Blackmail" - it's very deep but when you follow the rabbit holes as deep as she does you end up with links to Ukraine dating WAY back.
