mostly because it's bad press. the christian arabs are useful for telling western media how tolerant the palis are, but since Israel let them take over Bethlehem the christian population has went from 80% to 5%. In Gaza the Odeh gang just kills them and they've stopped issuing permits on chritian holidays to visit Jerusalem because they just never come back. Israel is the only country in the middle east where the christian population is growing (but not by much either)
