Another weird thing about world war 3 is that everyone starts out on the same side killing each other for practice but taking the game really seriously because it's life or death. There aren't separate nations to actually have conflict with each other until enough people die for practice, which most people pretend is real war and not just practice (obviously they can't handle what real war between nuclear armed countries is going to be like)
