I am trying to figure out how to make #activitypub do object centric things but i just don't think that's in the cards. basically i want the opposite of a sharedInbox - the mysterious sharedOutbox. for example, i want to make actors that represent journals and keywords to make paper feeds from, but have some canonical representation of each paper that's shared across multiple accounts. So there would be a single Object at example.com/papers/:doi that might be "posted" by multiple actors.

From what I can tell this is technically and maybe even explicitly allowed - an actor stores posts in the outbox, which is an activitystreams OrderedCollection, but there is nothing in there about uniqueness and there's even a note that may be relevant. But i am just imagining masto trying to handle a bunch of the same object and i am like that definitely would not work.
