It's an idea I didn't think I'd ever hear.. but at this point does anyone care? From a principles perspective, if we have tariffs now, eliminating income tax would be less tax in a sense, and it would be passed down on goods so it's a consumption tax that maybe could be avoided in a sense...in addition Paul Krugman is a democrat-shilling cuck moron, so the mere fact that he says it can't work makes me automatically acccept that it can - opposite whatever he says...But the fact is that the government isn't funded on taxes. It's all debt anyway. The US state spends more than it steals all the time, so what is the point? It's not going to balance the budget or reduce the debt... And inflation hurts enough already. It won't save the dollar. It won't save this country (not that it should be saved anyway). At this point, I guess I'm just a collapsitarian, and I have #bitcoin... So get fucked govt.. you too Paul Krugman gfy...I hope there is a p.k. parody acct here on nostr
