If you just connect I can see your IP, origin and user-agent in the logs:

Jul 23 21:33:35 <MY HOSTNAME> nostr-rs-relay[19526]: Jul 23 21:33:35.452 INFO nostr_rs_relay::server: new client connection (cid: 5d511342, ip: "<USER IP>")
Jul 23 21:33:35 <MY HOSTNAME> nostr-rs-relay[19526]: Jul 23 21:33:35.452 INFO nostr_rs_relay::server: cid: 5d511342, origin: "https://iris.to";, user-agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/114.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"

If you post or try to post evens I will also get your npub.

So if you want to never establish a connection between your IP and your npub, you have to use Tor or VPN every time you send an event.

BTW this is just out of the box in the logs and the database. Bad relay can probably try to prod your device even further.
