Haven't tried eating it myself yet, but I've actually cooked duckweed when making my own koi food for kicks. Smells... not great. Well, the spirulina powder wasn't helping. (my roommate coming home from work walked through the door and called out, "WHY DOES IT SMELL LIKE THE OCEAN'S BUTT IN HERE??" so that'll be my fish food brand name: Oceanbutt.)
I thought I'd heard it has high oxalate content but looking it up now that's apparently not the case after all?? I'll have to try it!
