Accessibility of certain forms of cultural artifacts destroying their ability to be cultural artifacts just leads to the creation of more complex forms of art. And online communities that have developed in the past decade do have a lot of depth and in part it was this depth that gatekept the normie masses from destroying them. Only after the regime specifically targeted them did they stop functioning.
I do agree that people want the trash and they will turn into trash any space they have access to.
But I think that the quality of the people and their appetite for trash does depend on the overall societal decline and that it's absolutely possible to create high quality art even in this environment.
It is almost impossible to do so if you are directly targeted by the degen masses as someone standing between them and their slop though.
