This is a criticism I’ve heard of #urbit as well. The modern, corporate internet, following the dominant culture, has trained people to sit back and let the algorithms excite their appetites and then feed them.
More humane technology will be uncomfortable and get pushback from many - just as more humane acts in other spheres do: traditional family structures, fathers working, mothers at home, mending and repairing, going to Church, embracing silence, growing food…
So if you are not #[0] this place is basically dead. 0 users searching out others, only users interacting with their daddies they followed from twitter.
